Skills Drills

Go here to see an actual demonstration of these drills.

Passing with someone
- Find a friend, sibling, or parent who is willing to spend a few minutes kicking with you. There are no rules, except that you try and kicking with each foot, and make sure and use the inside part of the foot - NO TOE BALLS! Try kicking at least 10 minutes a day.

Toe touches (hopping on the ball) - You should have learned this at your practice. Hopping on the ball is a great way to learn balance, gain stamina, and gain ball control (touch). You should try and do 30 seconds of toe touches at least 10 times this week.

Juggling - Juggling is as much about skill as it is the ability to have fun. Juggling can be done with nearly all parts of the body (except those arms and hands!) and takes practice. Start with simple parts like the thighs and feet. Beginners should hold the ball in their hands and toss it to themselves, starting off with one or two juggle combinations. Try doing 4 in a row, with both legs.
